I'm Jenny Yan — BA Chinese Language and Literature · BSc Psychology · PGCE Mandarin & EAL · QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

With over 15 years of teaching experience across grammar schools, private schools and universities, I have taught AQA, GCSE, iGCSE, A-Level, AP and HSK students across a wide range of ages and abilities.

As a former GCSE and A-Level speaking exam conductor and examiner, I am experienced in guiding students to strong exam results while also helping them build confidence and a genuine enjoyment of learning Mandarin.

I am a life-long Mandarin educator, always looking for new ways to inspire students to embrace learning and develop self-belief. I believe that engaging and encouraging are the essential aspects of teaching — the things that help learners develop their own personal interest in the subject.
